The Energy Conservation Assistance Program (ECAP) offers free assessments, coaching and energy saving upgrades for income-qualified households. It is delivered by BC Hydro and FortisBC, with funding support from the Province of B.C. and the Government of Canada.
The Canada Greener Homes Affordability Program (CGHAP) provides low-to-median-income homeowners and tenants with no-cost home retrofits, such as insulation and heat pumps.
The program began delivery in 2025 through participating provinces and territories, with additional support for Indigenous organizations.
Everyone deserves a healthy, comfortable and efficient home. Energy Savings Program rebates help make home energy upgrades more affordable. Rebates are based on your household income.

Target: Aimed at supporting up to 820,000 households across Canada.

Launch Date: Scheduled to officially launch in early 2027, with retroactivity provisions planned for installations starting this fall.
