Robert Ellis
Owner/OperatorLicensed Oil Burner Mechanic and Gas Contractor
Rob Ellis is the founder and owner of North Island Heating, bringing
over 30 years of experience in the HVAC industry. As a Red Seal Oil
Burner Mechanic, Rob has built his career on a strong foundation of
technical knowledge, hands-on expertise, and a commitment to quality
workmanship.
Throughout his career, Rob has worked across a wide range of systems and
applications, developing a deep understanding of heating solutions in
both residential and commercial settings. His leadership and experience
set the standard for the entire team, and he takes pride in ensuring
every project reflects the company’s values of reliability, efficiency,
and customer satisfaction.

Matthew Ellis
Licensed Gas Fitter
Matt Ellis brings 15 years of industry experience to our team as a B
Ticket Gas Fitter, with a strong background in sheet metal and ductwork
fabrication. He also holds a variety of TECA certifications, including
ventilation design and heat loss/gain calculations, allowing him to
approach projects with both practical skill and technical expertise.
Matt has extensive experience working with HVAC systems, hot water
systems—including boilers—and ventilation systems across a range of
applications. Known for his attention to detail and precision
craftsmanship, he takes pride in designing and building efficient,
high-performing systems that are tailored to each space. His combination
of hands-on experience and technical knowledge makes him a key asset to
our team.
MITCHELL ELLIS
Apprentice
Mitchell Ellis brings 10 years of industry experience to our team as a
Red Seal Refrigeration Mechanic and B Ticket Gas Fitter. His background
includes both residential and commercial work, giving him the
versatility to handle a wide range of systems and service needs.
Known for his natural mechanical aptitude, Mitchell has a strong ability
to quickly diagnose issues and find effective, lasting solutions. He
works with HVAC systems, gas equipment, and refrigeration units with
confidence and precision. Whether tackling a challenging repair or a new
installation, Mitchell’s skill and problem-solving mindset make him a
valuable part of our team.
BOB
Title
Bob Thompson brings over 20 years of hands-on experience to our HVAC
team as a Red Seal Refrigeration Mechanic with an Electrical FSR and B
Ticket Gas Fitter certification. His background spans both commercial
and residential work, giving him a well-rounded understanding of a wide
range of systems and environments.
Bob has extensive experience working with HVAC and hydronic systems, as
well as a variety of refrigeration equipment. Known for his strong
troubleshooting skills and attention to detail, he takes pride in
delivering reliable, efficient solutions for every project. Whether it’s
a complex commercial install or a residential service call, Bob’s
expertise ensures the job is done right the first time.
